The second of a series of three sculptures of the Honorable Kayra Theadore. Amplifying the richness of Malagasy heritage, Kayra sports the traditional Tanavoho hairstyle worn by Sakalava women of northern Madagascar. As well as further challenging preconceived stereotypes of black women, it’s pastel pink color signifies Kayra’s gentle character
